COVID Tips to Help You Live Your Best (and safest!) Life
As we enter into another year that will be impacted by COVID-19, it’s easy to get burned out from doing the whole mask-wearing, hand-washing, social-distancing thing. I mean, the vaccine is here and the end of the pandemic is basically around the corner, right? Well…yes and no. While we are finally getting some good news, we still have a lot of time where we need to keep being safe. By doing so, we can keep living our best life – on campus, and in our community.

A pandemic only puts more on our To-Do lists. 76% of TC students have felt overwhelmed by everything they had to do. TC3 has licensed therapists who can help you feel back to full strength.

Socializing is important, and getting buzzed on a few drinks is what college students are supposed to do, right? But 70% of TC students are not drinking or staying under 3 drinks if they do! Keep each other safe by limiting gatherings in person – try having a Zoom hangout instead.

COVID attacks the lungs, and smokers and vapers are even more at risk for a bad infection. Now is a better time to break the habit than ever before! Talk to the Health Center about help quitting – like nicotine gum or patches.

Jobs are limited and more people than ever need a little help getting their next healthy meal. Visit the TC3 food pantry like many faculty, staff, and students do to get your fresh produce and quality protein!

Mask fatigue is real, but 85% of college students wear their mask in public settings. Do your part to keep the campus open and running, for your education and for your enjoyment!

Ok, this isn’t the college experience any of us wanted. But 81% of college students follow social distancing guidelines. Stay strong, so we can get back to the college experience we all want – as soon as possible.

It’s common for people to be the first in their family to go to college. But, everyone going to college now is the first in their family to go during a pandemic! Keep that in mind, and feel free to laugh about it with your family on your next Zoom or phone call!

It seems like every day, we get hit with a new change – and they haven’t been too awesome, typically. 85% of TC students felt stressed out this year, and of those students, the majority (54.6%) felt significantly stressed out! Go for a walk, try a guided meditation, or talk to someone in Health and Wellness Services to help you ease your nerves.

Anxiety happens, particularly during a global pandemic, but how much is too much? 7 out of 10 TC students felt overwhelming anxiety this year. Reach out to a TC counselor, they are there to help give you the skills to take back your day!

Social distancing giving you some serious FOMO? More than half of TC students (51%) have felt very lonely at some point this year. Check out Campus Groups or join a campus-run, COVID-safe social gathering to meet new people and have fun!
